Honestly disgusting behavior from their end, but I'm not sure what more can be done.
I had similar problems happen to me last month with Walmart for a laptop EB. They gave me the runaround and wasted my time with their useless braindead reps so I tried going to the automated support chat system I chose that there was a problem with my order> damaged item> missing item and for some reason it just went ahead and gave me the option for instant refund or replacement and it worked to my surprise not sure if the same will happen in your case but it’s worth a try
Unfortunately the same doesn't appear for me. Thanks for the advice though.

Ridiculous to say the least - they've closed the escalation without any justification whatsoever.

Get In contact by phone and "demand" why they've decided to close It. Do not get off the line until the appropriate reply Is received.

I called today through phone today and pressed them for an answer on why they've decided to close the escalation. I was given the reason that it was based on the order details and previous cases (I've done 2 SE in the past with Walmart).

After telling them to escalate based on them disregarding why I can't file a PR, I was told that the case will be escalated to "higher authorities" and I should be expecting a response within 72 hours.

Good work on your end.

We shall await their reply.

Again, I have waited for their reply but have not gotten one. I contacted support reps through chat and was told that this will be escalated again with additional notes mentioning why a sealed box that was missing my product is of no concern to the police.

Ridiculous.

If need be, contact them 50 times a day until they attend to your needs.

I've contacted them multiple times now and have gotten the same response saying I need a police report over and over due to the item being "high value." Tomorrow, I plan on calling and asking for a supervisor. I am currently back in the city, but online police reports are not offered as of now. If nothing else changes, I might consider filing a chargeback with PayPal.

Good.

If the supervisor refuses to help, ask to speak with his boss and If It's refused again, keep repeating the same process.

Yes, do exactly that.

It's no fault of your own that a police report cannot be filed, hence It works to your advantage with the PayPal claim.

After a while, I have finally gotten an update after filing a dispute with Paypal. Paypal is unfortunately now asking me to file a report with a law enforcement agency or government organization in order to continue the investigation. Is there any way around this? It's strange because I also said EB with Paypal.

Would it be possible to respond to Paypal by saying the police refused to provide a police report as it's not theft-related? It is possible as of right now for me to file one, but again, there is no option for online reports, and I'm not sure how the police deal with these kinds of things here.
