They asked for PR, photos of package and of AirPods box over email. Went into the police station and tried to get one and they told me to ring 101 and report it over the phone. I done that and got a reference number to give to apple instead. I rang apple and told them what happens, then Sent them the photos and the reference the police gave me. Now I’m being asked to provide a police report or at least a screenshot of the crime reference number over the email, even after I told them that I done it over the phone.
Make a half-assed PR and send it off. Wait for them to respond saying that “it’s a civil matter” and then screenshot the email and send it to apple. Just keep going back and forth saying they’re refusing to give a signed PR saying it they wanna charge like £100 or some BS. They’ll fold eventually.

I spoke to them on the phone and think I managed to circumvent the PR citing my local police station policy. They explicitly state they don't give out PRs only references to them. Pending investigation now.

Well done.

If they still remain adamant with the PR, tell them to contact the police In question.

I rang them today and was told it's in the final stages of the investigation. They are interviewing courier delivery drivers, crosschecking weights & checking cameras in warehouse & delivery van.
I have a feeling that they're going to say that they have found no sign of theft on their end, even though I mentioned that the package wasn't tampered with/opened/no signs damage.

You're EB'ing, hence It's totally Irrelevant to your claim.

The drivers simply deliver packages.

They can check every camera on every angle, they cannot detect what's "Inside" the box, hence the footage Is Inconclusive.

Again, It's not relevant to your claim.
