Given they're liaising with your credit card provider, I don't understand why they'd request a chargeback cancellation.

A chargeback Is a gateway of communication between the bank and the company.

They've actually created more work for themselves - they don't have a direct contact to collect details.

Correct.

Do not cancel the chargeback under any circumstances.

Put simply, asking your credit card provider/bank to reverse the transaction on your SE, thereby crediting your account for the cost of the purchase price.

Thanks I’m actually reading your article about this.

I've been reading through your blog article. There's some point that need to be clarified on my side.

Charging back is asking the CC provider to refund a purchase. I guess they won't just refund on demand and needs to have an explaination about why they have to refund (fraud, CC stolen, etc..?). In case of failed SE on amazon or whatever, what is the attack angle towards CC providers to get chargeback?
