I definitely use Discord the most. My family mostly used facebook and text, and sometimes skype, which I think is as far as they will ever get. I can't imagine teaching them to use discord. The others are complicated enough for them. As someone who games and hangs out on twitch.tv a lot, discord is a must, since everyone uses it (and oh look, they opened a games store).

Im trying out Discord...

I used to use facebook and chat with friends there, sure, but no longer use facebook or any other social media of said nature.

Im kinda starting all over, Discord seems legit, free, open source, and I dont need to send my face pic to be approved

MSM messenger wasn't that AOL? I've never even heard of it from anyone I knew.

Discord is not really open source and they log everything you do. Facebook seems like a sinking ship with the captain going over first.
