Well the fact that Opera runs with Chromium now, and if I am not mistaken, so does Chrome. I have also tested both myself, and so have many others and Opera gives better results in the way of speed.
The default Windows Video Player for Windows 8 is annoying to use on PC. The default one is also lacking certain options that other free players such as VLC Media Player has.
