if they have CCTV cameras in their warehouses and tell me that they are sure to have shipped the AirPods
Opt for the missing Item method, whereby the AirPods were not In the box, hence a manufacturer error.

Is what I wrote. But, will they eat the bait?
We are talking about Apple.

No. As per below, you're referring to the "partial method" and not the "missing Item".

Quote:I would like to order an iPad and a pair of AirPods and say that only the iPad arrived.

In this case, the partial Is a warehouse (picking) error by not picking & packing the entire box, and the missing Item Is the manufacturer error- neglecting to pack the Item In the box. CCTV cameras cannot Identify the latter during dispatch.

Yes, my fault. If I SE a single item then I use the "missing item" not the "partial".
But, I still don't get why a hypothetical CCTV system in their warehouse shouldn't make my SE fail.

If their camera record when they pack and unpack their packages, in my case, both the iPad and the AirPods will be present in the surveillance record thus my SE will fail (if they have CCTV cameras which record the packing procedure).

That's because the CCTV Is taking footage of the boxes being picked & packed by the storemen, and not what's Inside.

That Is, they receive the picking slip with your order, head over to the location of the racking where the boxes are stored (In the warehouse) and pick & pack them In readiness for dispatch.

1) I'm sorry, If you could please repeat more clearly the process because I didn't get it.
2) How do we know that Apple does things like this? I'm programming to SE the AirPods from Apple.com/it, not Amazon.

I realize that.

Apple also has an Inventory of stock In their warehouse, whereby their storemen pick, pack and dispatch orders. Their manufacturing plant will assemble and package the goods, and the warehouse keep the Inventory on hand. This Is what my previous post Is based on.

I still don't get the point.
What the cameras typically record? The place where employees pack and wrap packages? Because if it was in that way they would see that the AirPods (or whatever else) was put inside the package.

Otherwise, if with their CCTV systems they don't record the workplace of the employee what is the sense of having a CCTV system and pay for it.

I cannot simplify It any further than the following example.

The manufacturing plant "placing the Item In the box", Is completely different to "the warehouse staff picking and packing orders". That Is, "picking and packing the box (with the Item enclosed) from their racking/shelving In the warehouse". It's this that pertains to CCTV camera footage- whether "the storeman picked and packed the order correctly".
