What's the weight of the watch?

Was the photo taken at the doorstep, or the entryway of your home?

Also, did you sign for It? If so, was It a fake signature?

I SEd one at the end of June using DNA. Amazon opened a carried investigation and was told to wait for 48 hours. After that period I contacted them asking what has happened and they issued me a refund.
If you have not done DNA with Amazon recently it can certainly work.

Alternatively you can say the item was not in the box. The watch weights at 36.5 grams for the aluminium 44 mm model so that will pass the potential weight discrepancy issue. The overall box is quite heavy as per usual Apple standard so you would not notice if it did not contain the actual watch.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

No doubt this will help the OP with his/her SE In progress.

The weight of the box Is Immaterial when determining If the Item was enclosed. Whether It weighs 1 Kg or 10 Kg, Is of no consequence.

If the Item registers a weight on consignment, they'll simply deduct the Item (net) weight from the entire package (gross) weight, and then add the Item weight back In. If It matches the weight recorded at their depot, then the watch was enclosed.

For Instance, let's say the entire package weighs 1000 grams. Now let's say the watch weighs 200 grams. 1000-200= "800 grams".  If the watch was missing, "800 grams" should be the weight of the entire package.

If the weight of the entire package was marked at "1000 grams" , then the watch was not missing.

Thank you for clarifying that. I would imagine 36.5 grams would not register weight so you can use the "missing item" method.

You're most welcome. You're absolutely spot-on with the 36 gram weight.

My above post, Is based on Items that register a weight and can be cross-checked against the carrier's manifest.

Im having some problems understanding this. There was a photo taken of the box left at my door step. Would my best bet be to just say the watching wasnt in the apple box?

Perfect DNA material.

Irrespective of the photo(s) taken, as far as you're concerned, you didn't personally receive the package- stolen from your doorstep.

Given the driver left the package at the doorstep, they've basically SEd themselves with the DNA method.
