The sniper had to factor in air resistance, wind speed and direction, elevation, the spin of the bullet, and even the curvature of the earth, among other things. I do admit, that there is considerable skill behind that, but you can never dismiss luck as an option, especially under extraordinary circumstances. (practical range being 1800 meters) You must also consider that the world record was once held by a Canadian. So maybe Canadians just have skill! So maybe Canadians just have skill! Definitely so. I'm not judging his skill set, just more so the probabilities that ("may have") ultimately led to nailing the target. RE: Canadian sniper breaks word record - BurritoBeans - 06-25-2017 Another McMillan TAC-50 using Hornady A-MAX .50 rounds... It's not my favorite rifle by any means and that's the same exact setup that's been kicking over distance records for 15 years now, but it's definitely an impressive rifle with a great shooter behind it. I have issues nailing woodchucks farther than 800 yards with my 6mm Remington and I'd say I'm a fairly avid shooter - that guy deserves some serious props. RE: Canadian sniper breaks word record - Oni - 06-25-2017 2 other record-setting shots were also by Canadians with the Tac-50.

Probably not. Imperial sucks ![]() RE: Canadian sniper breaks word record - Jiggly - 06-26-2017 (06-26-2017, 01:22 AM)Inori Wrote:(06-25-2017, 07:37 PM)Oni Wrote: 2 other record-setting shots were also by Canadians with the Tac-50. See? Evidence that the metric system is just better
