RE: Board or Bike - Ex094 - 08-21-2016 Definitely a Bike dude, biking is my favorite past time hobbies. Never bought a board though, it ain't popular in my country
RE: Board or Bike - NaB3nzo - 08-21-2016 Skating is just sooo inefficient, unless you're going downhill you have to work so hard to keep going. But it is cooler, I'll give you that. RE: Board or Bike - Oni - 08-21-2016 I prefer bike, although I have skate/long boarded. But it is cooler, I'll give you that.its really not that inefficient depends where you live. if you live somewhere that is relatively flat, if you have a longboard or cruiser, you push a few times and youre good to go for a while. and its not as much work to push a skateboard as you might think it is. youre just moving a lightweight board, not very hard. RE: Board or Bike - Jiggly - 08-22-2016 I once was being taught to skateboard... Well, I don't do it now so you can see how well that lasted. I lived on my bike when I was younger, then I got really strong thighs. That could be and advantage or disadvantage depending on how you look at it. RE: Board or Bike - Wildfire - 08-23-2016 Bike by far. I feel more aerodynamic and just overall faster on a bicycle than any type of moving board, sans perhaps an electric one. Lmao what the bullshit did I just read? Grizzly primarily makes griptape and you're just paying for the name. Any grip tape will work and Girl is just a team board made with most likely 7ply maplewood like any other team board. Your "ride style". Lmao RE: Board or Bike - Aeolian - 08-23-2016 (08-23-2016, 01:16 AM)Primitive Wrote:(08-21-2016, 03:41 AM)Aeolian Wrote:(08-21-2016, 02:58 AM)Ao- Wrote: I have my brother's old Loaded Dervish (the original), my newish Expedition One setup, some frankenstein mess I put together with old parts, and a half-decomposed Penny with no wheels Different boards are made from various materials, the board I ride has alot more flexibility and bend than the others ive rode before hand. I've supported team Grizzly for a while now, hence why I ride the board, its not "paying for the name" if thats who you support. Clearly misunderstood, its okay buddy. RE: Board or Bike - Snail - 08-23-2016 Nice thread. I like to skateboard. RE: Board or Bike - pvnk - 08-24-2016 (08-23-2016, 02:20 AM)Aeolian Wrote:No, I didn't misunderstand. Decks are not what they're known for and decks are not "more flexible" b/c most of them are made out of maple wood. lmao "bends better than the other boards i have" sounds like u need a new board what does flexibility in a SKATEboard even do? Doesn't help tricks because the material needs to be sturdy for pops and landing for turning, it's the bushings and trucks that need to work well... what in the world is your reasoning lmao unless your ride style is falling down, all you posted was actually bullshit No one would judge you if you were a beginner, but you're starting to irritate me with this wannabe pro skater mentality with ur RIDE STYLE lol |
