Exams? What exams? Tell me more.

In my views, an award (In the context of a given forum) Is rewarded and given based on the effort(s) of a member.

Keeping the award system the way It Is, provides an Incentive towards members of this community, and Is a "personal" entity rather than a sweepstakes system that's somewhat just handed out randomly If a given member fits the equation.

That said, I see your point on the award being given "If prerequisites have been met". If some sort of strategy can be formulated with the proposed award system, then perhaps It can be reviewed and taken from there.

If you buy an award you don't get it. You have to send the reward to an administrator and then he upgrades your profile with the award. It isn't that user friendly and I think Touka is trying to tell us that it should be automated. Automated as in you purchase it and you get it. Not that jank ass system that we have right now. Who's idea was it to implement this system in the first place? It's their fault. Who did this?

It took me a while to figure out where "View All Items" was at first.

Pertaining to the purchase of an award, I couldn't agree more.

In terms of how the award system Is structured here on Sinisterly and handed out based on "effort" or "attributes", It's very much the same on almost every other forum I've been on over the past 10 years or so (with a few variances). As I've mentioned, for a newly-structured award system, It'll need a formulated strategy to see whether It's worthy of It's objective.

Awards aren't given out often enough to warrant this right now. Staff are busy and something this minor isn't a concern. It appears people are impatient, as awards and upgrades are generally given within 24 hours. That, and if you can't read simple instructions and follow them, you shouldn't even be on this forum.

You're the only "staff" that can upgrade the members though.
