Anytime I've gone to the United States the change in people's personalities is so drastic that it's kind of crazy. I'm in Canada and have found it to be quite the opposite, you are a little younger though and i feel people are more likely to be nice to a youngin haha your lucky! Don't grow up tarew RE: Serious chat. - Nyx - 01-26-2015 (01-26-2015, 07:12 PM)Blunt Wrote: I'm in Canada and have found it to be quite the opposite, you are a little younger though and i feel people are more likely to be nice to a youngin haha your lucky! If you live on the west coast I can understand, but I've met many people in the Maritimes where it's small and it seems like every other person you meet is a distant cousin and they all seem very nice too me. I live on Prince Edward Island and the saying here is "Once an Islander, always and Islander". The meaning behind it is that if you were born and raised on the island, it doesn't matter how long you leave, how rich and famous you become or how much you say you hate this place, you'll always come back to the island. I feel the same way about Texas. RE: Serious chat. - Lain - 01-27-2015 I find it humorous that in today's society, introvert people are the ones that use their manners the most. RE: Serious chat. - Nil - 01-27-2015 While there are certainly still nice people these days (even I myself make sure to mind my manners), it seems like a good chunk of people have acquired too much self-entitlement. They feel as if the world owes them and their presence is enough for their contribution. That explains lack of manners and appreciation for others sacrifices. Social media seems to be a large impact on these jerk-like personalities. Twitter is a great way to spread memes and all these glorious entitled quotes to thousands of impressionable teens and it skews their view of reality. If you have a twitter, it's interesting to go through the popular favorited sections and retweeted pictures, and read the ridiculous quotes that scream anything but appreciation. It's just adding oil onto the fire known as princess syndrome. Not to blame just girls, but a lot of it stems from the popular female accounts. The last thing girls need these days is to go through their twitter feeds telling them how much they deserve for nothing and they are fine the way they are. Couple that with the whiteknight mentality of males these days and you have some manner-less individuals who expect too much and give too little. Introverts honestly make the most sense to be polite though, they are quiet and keep to themselves and where most outgoing people are either ditzy and cute as hell which i love btw <3 haha or your a complete and total dickface with a gigantic ego such as my sinisterly troll persona rofl In real life im a pretty quiet dude, not saying Im 100% introverted but id give it a good at least 75% |
