I would like to rant about how fucked society is so please give a shit! Tongue rofl

But on some real shit does anyone else find the way society has molded itself to be completely fucked?
Leave out the fucked up judicial system, or economy and all other problems and just think about the way that people truly treat each other these days.
No I am not talking about a place like skidly because the whole level of anonymity leaves people free to do and say whatever the fuck they want to.
But in actual real life when walking down the street have you ever thought what someone thinks of you? what they would say if you asked them to go for a coffee or something?
9/10 these days you ask a girl for coffee she is going to call you a thirsty ass nigga and tell you to fuck off. From the dudes perspective we tend to think its a waste of time if we aren't getting laid the first night.
In a coffee shop I saw both of these happen in 10 minutes. 15 year old calling a girl a slut because she wont fuck him. and a super sweet nerdy kid who is probably on sinisterly ask a girl if shed like a coffee and told him to go away your thirtsy.
After seeing that got kinda in a experimental mood and just started saying high with a huge bright smile to everyone i passed by. About 4/30 people actually responded and were polite back when all the others either kept walking or gave a glare.
We as people these days don't give a fuck about anyone unless they are doing us a service and I literally find it soo sad.
Anyone else see some stupid shit like this? If you say no your lying cause the world is fucked up these days haahaha

Whenever I hold a door open for someone, move out of their way, or do anything to change what I was going to benefit someone else, nobody says thank you, or even appreciates it. That's why I've now taken to saying "You're so very welcome" in a moderately loud voice.

People are miserable. They aren't used to a 6 foot 2 kid saying 'good afternoon' to them whilst they walk their dog. It's a shame.

Let me say that I LOVE the fact that you did your own little social experiment. It's always quite interesting to see how people respond to things like what you did. I actually conducted my own one time by walking up to a random person and acting like I knew them and hadn't seen them since high school. The best part is I had them convinced for a good few minutes that we went to school together.

More on topic, I agree with your observation. If you find this kind of stuff interesting you may be want to explore taking a sociology class. Sociology is the study of society and culture. Speaking generally, it seems that a lot of people in our society are very angry and suspicious of each other. Where do you suppose this mentality comes from? Hey man, if you see something, say something! Right? We've been socialized to be suspicious of anyone and everyone. The "news" plays a role in this as well. The stuff we see in the news is basically along the lines of "could your bathtub be killing you? more at 11!"

Right haha I was all hella baked on a 45 minute break, sitting there eating my donut and was like hmmm these people are fucked is it just them or everyone? Turns out there is very few actually "nice" people out there. Like for instance im a pretty nice kid, people will see me smoking a ciggerette and ask for one and i always have no problem with that I also have paid for random peoples fares on the bus quite a bit, but then on the other hand it begs the question would they back? honestly probably not.

I completely agree though! We definitely are programmed to be suspect of pretty much everybody but at the same time sometimes its a good thing and I will explain my super fucked up night in another thread, Seeing as it deserves it own rofl

The worst one IMO is people that don't wave to drivers that let them cross the street.
Also those that don't say thanks when you open doors, pick things up for them, help their struggling children etc. because it's one less job that they have to do and you don't get a simple greeting in return... you're right, we're completely fucked.
It was nice knowing you all <3

I don't really know, but I think computers today might have really affected peoples social skills. Now, almost everything nice I try to do to other people feels awkward.

You would think that these computer would be used to gain an understanding of other cultures, meet people all over the world, maintain and strengthen familial relationships, communicate effectively with others, and help people to become more socially adept.

However, some technological advances cause people to be distracted, overly stressed, and increasingly isolated. Many people are involved in an abundant number of relationships through technology, but sometimes the quantity of these associations leaves people feeling qualitatively empty. Obviously, technology has had a profound impact on what it means to be social.

I haven't really experienced this yet. Most people that I know are as polite as can be. Then again, I live in Canada. Anytime I've gone to the United States the change in people's personalities is so drastic that it's kind of crazy.

TL;DR: Come to Canada, everybody is nice here.
