Maybe adding a rule where simple contests or giveaways are not allowed and your rule suggestion.
Simple:
Your pid is your entry to be able to win my eBook.
More complex:
Your pid is your entry but you must give two reasons why you would like the eBook I am giving away.

I think if you just make a high quality post, it would suffice. It's just that people are abusing giveaways for posts, if you know what I mean.
Also I wouldn't want viruses getting spread around in the future.

I agree. Hopefully we don't have to come to a point where that rule has to be added due to extreme abuse.

I think the main reason for this is because PM'ing equals to 1 extra credit and a new post equals to like 5 or 2 extra credits. This is the main reason why I hate the usage of credits because you post stuff on forums. Just stick with rep, that's already more than enough.

The credits are fine and add an extra aspect to these forums. We even now have an exchange rate for these.
