"Post and PM" New Rule Suggestion. #1
No "Post Here and PM me" threads will be allowed. This includes "Post Here and I'll PM You" or any "Post to PM" threads.

This should be added due to the spamming and waste of time that it causes. Also, this gives an easy way for black hat members to potentially break rules under the radar.

This is probably going to be denied. Read this

I believe if the cause is good enough, Dissociation will look further into it. He knows what I am talking about as well. I suppose it's a matter of security.

Some giveaways require post and pm me or post here and I'll pm you.
Example:
"I'm giving away my new eBook! Post here and PM me and I'll send you the eBook!"
or
"Hey I'm giving away Netflix codes post here and I'll PM you!"

Sounds good. Great way to decrease spam.

Exactly, This causes spam. Users wanting the ebook state something along the lines of "I would like this thanks". That's low quality. Also, this allows users to transfer download links via private messaging allowing for some security measures to be broken. If you are doing a giveaway why not just make it public by posting it on a thread?

As for Netflix codes, I understand the basis of needing someone to post to understand that they want a code, but a simple private message should suffice.

Again, this is based off of Dissociation and his staff.

Yes but most of the posts for entering a giveaway are low quality unless it requires an application. "I'll enter this thanks", "Count me in on this one", etc. It reduces the leeching of whatever is being given away.

Leeching shouldn't be considered due to it being a public giveaway. I am just concerned for members doing giveaways in the future. Plus, it keeps a tab on the low quality posting in that section. I do see where you are coming from though.

I considered leeching because the majority of people will just get what they want and leave without posting anything.

But here's a new example:
Hey I'm giving away my new (bot, eBook, etc). Just pick a number from 1-10! The winner will be PM'd with the dl link!

This is a good suggestion but I don't think it works in every situation.

Exactly, something else other than just regularly posting. Maybe "give two reasons why you would like the item I am giving away"
