I thinks that it is essential to relationships.

Honestly I don't care too much for sex due to personal preferences. But if you feel it will bring you closer in a way then yes it can be important though it's not if I were to be in a relationship.

Physical contact plays an important role in a healthy relationship.

I personally think so. It is one of several things that makes your relationship different from a regular friendship.

I think it's important to share that one thing with one another.

I do think it is very important, after all we are in our nature highly territorial and don't particularly do well sharing that unless there is give and take, so in a sense sex is where a man and a woman, a man and a man or even a woman and a woman meet in the middle as it were.

What do you think?

You need to be able to have a relationship without sex when needed, and other times you need the sex to show her (or him) that you want to go to the next level. I've always been pretty decent at sex, and I enjoy it. Honestly it is important in a relationship, but if you are unable to have it you can still have a relationship.

I think sex is very important in a relationship, but isn't NEEDED to have a good one. My girlfriend and I hadn't done anything for 9 months and still had a great time. The sexual aspect of it surely did make it better though.

Wow. 24/7, eh. It does attach to your mind. It is true that sex is a bonus in a relationship.

It defiantly is not required but I think it is nice.

What is the point of calling what you have a relationship if there is no sex involved? Then it would solely be a friendship- that is just my opinion though.

I personally think its a requirement of a healthy relationship. Its a part of pleasing your partner and allowing them the chance to completely please you.
