I don't think it is a good, there is a risk of not receiving the package then ,because if the person check's the package status and can see that it has to be Returned To Sender, then he can not give you get the package, that's how I'm thinking and also you have to write your name surname before ordering it to a drop off point. Better find a pack station. I found one reship in my country that for extra money they collect packages from DHL packstations , so I think you can find one too or maybe just a person who lives in Germany and can collect the package for you after you get a refund from amazon.

@mothered The reship company got the package but in the amazon still say's that is out for delivery. Can be a good it be a good SE thing or nothing?
