Ordered them from Apple directly since I have an old account with some purchases and multiple devices on it hoping it gives some credibility.

Yeah i'm planning on calling them, I usually have more success refunding that way.

I NEED HELP
I followed the EB method and told them I was missing the airpods.
This is what they told me 'We have concluded our investigation into the delivery of your Apple order.
As soon as we were notified that you had not received your goods, we initiated an investigation internally and with our carrier.
On conclusion of our investigation, we have determined that the delivery was completed successfully to the address provided.
For this reason, we are unable to issue you with a Refund.'

Contact them again by preferably calling them and pressure them into sending you another pair of aipods because the packaging didn't contain your airpods... so basically just stick to your story and pressure them. I recommend you a replacement since it is seemingly easier for them to issue you a replacement than a refund and then once you recieve the airpods just return them for a refund.
