I was trying to avoid them opening investigations/requesting a police report by claiming melted battery instead.Understood. It exceeds the 40 gram soft limit you described in your social engineers article on missing item method at 63 grams. I'm worried they would pick that up on their scales. Also would you recommend claiming warehouse or manufacturer error for logitech mouse SE? As in missing the entire box or just the mouse inside the box? The limit Is 120 grams. (10-28-2022, 11:31 AM)Injera Wrote: I'm worried they would pick that up on their scales. They won't. Alright. When talking to customer support is it better to claim that there were signs of tampering (re-taped, damaged) and the mouse is missing or simply that the box was sealed and in perfect condition but no mouse was found inside? Thanks for the help by the way. I've just read elsewhere it's better to claim the mouse is just missing due to a manufacturer error. Does @mothered or anyone else here know if logitech has CCTV in their warehouses (seems most of their products are made in China)/has anyone successfully done empty box on logitech? Simply say that upon opening the box, the mouse was missing. Alright, thanks for the response. I'll proceed with the SE through Best Buy. If it fails I can return it in person anyway right? Idk if they link their customer support chats to the item and upon returning I'll be denied. Also in the past I paid someone to SE for me and they required an account with the SE company, does this mean I should also create an account for my empty box SE? Sounds good will do that. I just made a new account with fake info, hopefully they won't deny my request because its not aged @mothered I read your article about anonymous SE. I checked out Abine blur for obscuring my payment method but have also come across privacy.com which would be free. As far as I've researched, the only difference between the two is that privacy.com requires bank/debit card details to link to a vcc rather than abine blur which can link the vcc to a normal cc. Do you think privacy.com would be sufficient for hiding my name/identity from online retailers? RE: SE method for logitech mouse - batdark - 10-29-2022 For me, superlight mouse on Logitech store, eb, just the mouse inside, worked fine, refund after a couple of weeks |
