Understood.

Due to Its light weight, It has a very high success rate.
It exceeds the 40 gram soft limit you described in your social engineers article on missing item method at 63 grams. I'm worried they would pick that up on their scales.
Also would you recommend claiming warehouse or manufacturer error for logitech mouse SE? As in missing the entire box or just the mouse inside the box?
Thanks

That particular article Is related to giving the SE a very high degree of success.
The limit Is 120 grams.

I agree, but from friends and what I've read online they often request POD rather than a return.
I'm referring to the "EB/missing Item method".

You obviously cannot provide a POD for an Item you've claimed to have not received.

I agree, but from friends and what I've read online they often request POD rather than a return. I feel that using the corrupted file method in this case has a low success rate so I wanted to go for disposed of faulty item. Maybe with more expensive mice from them such as the superlight (150 USD) will have a better chance at returns
"Usually when Logitech is done people use PoP and or POD."
For PoD you mean photoshopping the destruction? And logitech products are relatively cheap, <200 USD so I don't think I need s/n, or PoP
My understanding of the s/n method was that it requires different methods down the line anyways. Such as boxing/disposed of faulty item. Which have you had success with?
nope, literaslly send an sn and complain its broken, photoshop the s/n on the mouse (not even the broken product) and they send u a new one no questions asked
Which country are you in? i tried this when my mouse from logitech legitimately broke but they requested I destroy it instead. So idk if they'll just send a refund without asking for the item back/destruction
canada, this has worked many times too so its definetly worth a shot

Alright. When talking to customer support is it better to claim that there were signs of tampering (re-taped, damaged) and the mouse is missing or simply that the box was sealed and in perfect condition but no mouse was found inside?
Thanks for the help by the way.

I've just read elsewhere it's better to claim the mouse is just missing due to a manufacturer error. Does @
mothered or anyone else here know if logitech has CCTV in their warehouses (seems most of their products are made in China)/has anyone successfully done empty box on logitech?

Don't provide anymore details than you need to.
Simply say that upon opening the box, the mouse was missing.

It doesn't matter - the cameras cannot detect what's Inside the box.

Alright, thanks for the response. I'll proceed with the SE through Best Buy. If it fails I can return it in person anyway right? Idk if they link their customer support chats to the item and upon returning I'll be denied.
Also in the past I paid someone to SE for me and they required an account with the SE company, does this mean I should also create an account for my empty box SE?

You can return It to the same online store, by saying your brother took the Item In your absence and told you about It after the claim was filed.

Sounds good will do that. I just made a new account with fake info, hopefully they won't deny my request because its not aged
@
mothered I read your article about anonymous SE. I checked out Abine blur for obscuring my payment method but have also come across privacy.com which would be free. As far as I've researched, the only difference between the two is that privacy.com requires bank/debit card details to link to a vcc rather than abine blur which can link the vcc to a normal cc. Do you think privacy.com would be sufficient for hiding my name/identity from online retailers? Thanks

As long as It doesn't attract attention to the point of triggering an Investigation Into the account, you're good to go.

They're still linking the VCC to your bank account, regardless of a debit or credit card, so Privacy will be fine.
