Should I get a real one in case they do? But will they actually check? Because I have a corner shop right next to me with a cctv camera.

Although It's known to happen, It's very unlikely they'll pursue It, so there's no cause for concern.

I can’t believe it escalated to this. The courier was evri (the worst courier in England and easiest to SE) and the order was 150 plus it was boohoo. Guess I got unlucky with this one.

Evri Is pretty relaxed, even when they were operating as Hermes.
