That's absolutely ridiculous.

What's their reason for the delay?

Lol I think they just wanted to go past the PayPal and CC company's ability to dispute the charge. That's insane

They keep saying they're waiting on a reply from the courier. Very surprised that someone on this thread got a refund within 10 days.

Nonsense.

Unless they're using a disabled carrier pigeon, It doesn't take 4 months to receive a reply. Get In touch with the carrier, and ask why they've yet to respond.

Update: just received this from Currys

“ An investigation has been undertaken in regard to this claim which takes into account the information you have provided through the Denial of Receipt form, an internal investigation within our warehouse and with the courier DPD as the parcel travelled through their network.

The completed Denial of Receipt form indicated that the parcel was delivered in a fully sealed, with no signs of any tampering.

During the picking stage the product was weighed where there were no discrepancies found in this instance. We obtained CCTV footage of the parcel being processed through our Warehouse and the findings show the parcel was packed without issue.

We contacted DPD who have provided us with images of the parcel showing no signs of damage.

After due consideration of all evidence, we are content that this parcel was dispatched and delivered with no evidence of tampering therefore, will be unable to assist you further with this claim.

If you are still unhappy with our position, you can raise this via Consumer Dispute Resolution Limited (CDRL). CDRL is a leading alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider and is approved under the Alternative Dispute Resolution for Consumer Disputes (Competent Authorities and Information) Regulations 2015, by the Civil Aviation Authority, Chartered Trading Standards Institute and Ofcom.

To raise this with CDRL, you can use the link below http://www.cdrl.org.uk/adr/.”

Not sure where to go from here and if this CDRL will be of any use. I still have a PayPal dispute open, hopefully can get something from that. @mothered thoughts on this? How likely is it the PayPal dispute will be successful based on Currys response?

Did you complete the DOR form?

Quote:We obtained CCTV footage of the parcel being processed through our Warehouse and the findings show the parcel was packed without issue.
The cameras cannot Identify what's Inside the box.

Ask them to email you the footage that clearly shows the watch was enclosed In the box at the time of packing.

Quote:We contacted DPD who have provided us with images of the parcel showing no signs of damage.
Ask them where the photos were taken, specifically.

At the depot, when the package was handed to you, or otherwise.

Quote:this parcel was dispatched and delivered with no evidence of tampering
The operative words are "delivered with no evidence of tampering".

Tell them to provide evidence of the package condition when the driver delivered It to your address. Every angle of the package must be Included In the photo(s).

Quote:To raise this with CDRL, you can use the link below http://www.cdrl.org.uk/adr/.”
It's useless, disregard It.

Yes.

Since they advised me to contact CDRL I’m assuming I won’t get responses on email from them any further in relation to this.

These points you have raised will be my precise argument with them should they say a similar thing on the PayPal dispute.

In terms of the DOR, did you explicitly state there were no signs of tampering on the package?

The question was “was there any obvious signs of damage”
My response was no

Well, that puts an end to everything I've suggested pertaining to signs of tampering.
