Im sure they have a system to check certain items and have them resealed by the manufacturer again. I think resealing the shipping box was sketchy on your part, and the fact that the item was returned multiple times didn't work in your favor. I see only 4 options Continue to hammer customer support, escalate and plead ignorance Chargeback credit card Resend phone back claim you made an error Take an L RE: OFM sealed box method - uncanny - 05-14-2022 I think Amazon is catching on lots of things RE: OFM sealed box method - uncanny - 05-14-2022 Thank you for the replies. You guys are awesome. I guess I'll suck it up & move on. Can't risk account closure. RE: OFM sealed box method - uncanny - 05-15-2022 Reason for sealing the Amazon packet was to make it more believable, because I thought return warehouse will think that its sealed & any wrongdoing must be before I received the packet. It was bubble Amazon thin envelope & it opened like butter with little heat. Also, there is 50% chance that when I gave the packet to courier, he took the packet & sat in his car for good 1-3 minutes, so I was watching him from little far & thinking if He was opening the Amazon packet to see what was collected & to reseal it in his return envelope. I had seen same driver collecting items in my area and putting in his return envelope & attached return AWB, I can't be sure. I will keep on writing to OFM, CS & Jeff and demand the incorrect item back, ask for any evidence and demand my money, they should be able to make a one time exception given I've zero account history & they can't be 100% sure that I sent lowered price item I'll say I need to file a stolen phone report at local police station & they do ask IMEI number. I remember a friend of mine, old Nokia phone was stolen & He went to police station & officer said to bring the box. I'll have legitimate reason to ask for it as Amazon invoice also doesn't have IMEI written. @mothered, I apologize, the reason I PMed you was to make sure it says secret & doesn't show up in Google search and Amazon employee won't bump in to my thread. Already Amazon is bumping up security. But now I guess I'm glad that I created this thread as it might help others. They won't ship anything back.Amazon actually has It In their terms, whereby an Incorrect Item returned, will be disposed of. I didn't pick up you sent the actual package as if unsealed, honestly, I think that might've given them more reason to check it. Who buys a brand new iPhone, doesn't even look at it and returns it? I'm sure it happens, shit I've sent brand phones back like that after finding better pricing right after but I've been upfront about the reason and the box/package was opened each time and re-taped. What reason did you select for your return? Maybe that's where you messed up RE: OFM sealed box method - db8803 - 05-15-2022 I think Amazon will be dead for SE very soon. If 2 years ago. DNA and missing item were a piece of cake, now if it's an item over 300eur it's very difficult. Tried to SE an Iphone 13 with DNA recently and it failed. Even thou the delivery did not require OTP and the person who accepted and signed for the package was not me, but another person with different names. They denied my claim and asked for Police Report. For items around 100eur it's not a problem, but who SEs such items anyway... It is obvious they have people reading forums and searching for flaws so they can change their policies and reduce their losses to minimum. And here in our forum we are perfect reading material....
