I said you DIDN'T use them poorly. I'm saying you can't rely on those two effects for the basis of your logo.

He just said you didn't use them poorly.. If you want feedback on your work, don't make it a drama whenever someone says a bad thing about it. If you get mad for negative feedback then stop making graphics/Designs.
Also, the Bevel and pattern on the logo ruins it a lot, the colors used in the gradient also looks bad together..

I did give you a reason why I didn't like the gradient, you just quoted me and took away the reason.. -__- I said they didn't fit well together, if you are going to get overly upset, at least make sure you aren't trying to make others at fault. Blue to Cyan-green looks awful, that is my opinion and I have never seen anyone that thinks the color match is good, as of yet at least.
