I was bored and decided to make my own DZ banner/header. I did this in about 20 minutes. Let me know what you think.

I'm going to be brutally honest here.

- Border's shit.
- Font overlay is shit.
- Background is shit.
- Looks like a bunch of blending options.
- Bevel's shit.

This is fine if you're just fucking around in Photoshop but I'd suggest following a tutorial on YouTube. You will learn new techniques faster and produce much better stuff.

Ok I respect your opinion. I was just messing around, but i do think did a couple things pretty good, like:
Font Texture
Font Gradient
But I agree, everything other than that is some :poop:

Using text overlay and gradient are generally considered to be quite basic features and, while you didn't use them poorly, using other options would have made this better.

Pros:
- Font; Its the official font for DZ
- Colors; I see what you are going for and I like what you had in mind

Cons:
- Whole layer style
- Background; A lot of logos never have backgrounds
- Texture you used; Does not fit DZ's theme/style.

You have stumped me. How did I use the Gradient and Overlay "poorly" ? The text Gradient looks good to me as with the texture.

He just said you didn't use them poorly.. If you want feedback on your work, don't make it a drama whenever someone says a bad thing about it. If you get mad for negative feedback then stop making graphics/Designs.

Also, the Bevel and pattern on the logo ruins it a lot, the colors used in the gradient also looks bad together..
