Dell usually do a safety capture for any dangerous products (e.g. smoke, sharp, shock). I am very surprised they are letting you dispose of it.

Tbh they never asked for a proof of purchase but because I wasn't claiming the usual £2.00 as most people would only buy 1 or 2 packets of rice. I gave them a fake amazon POP for 60 packets explaining I'm an international lorry driver and can be away for 4 weeks at a time so I practically live off the microwavable rice 😉..

I filled in the online form and never got a response very slow, so I called the number given on the product recall page and they processed it there and then. So if you don't recieve a response in a couple of days ring the number..

Product recalls are very easy to SE from my experience.

Cheers

Funny that you say this. I called yesterday and was told to wait for an email to attach a POP. I was specifically told I will get it immediately after the call or by the end of the day. I got nothing.
I called today again asking for my email, the customer service agent simply took all my details again and said I will get the email immediately after the call or by the end of the day.... well I got nothing.

I will wait until tomorrow to see if it is due to the weekend and will try again.

I am claiming for 30 packets or just under £65 (£12.99 for a box of 5 on Amazon). How much did you claim for?

At the time amazon was doing offers for 6 packets for £6. So I claimed for £60 total I had one bank deposit and tried again and got amazon vouchers.

Good luck the customer service is poor you need to keep nagging them but they do give in very easily
