And prior to that, communicating via the ARPANET. But that is interesting to have someone that has been active in the computer scene back when the internet wasn't really known.(12-27-2019, 04:26 AM)miso Wrote:(12-27-2019, 04:23 AM)mothered Wrote: You're very welcome.fucking hell lmao, i wasn't even born yet lmao, btw, i don't really care about compatibility issues, i got vms and a kid laptop toy running windows ce 6.0 lmfao, so i should be good i guess xd, but again, thanks RE: SWFFilePlayer ReSkin (Dark themed) - mothered - 12-28-2019 (12-27-2019, 05:43 PM)miso Wrote:(12-27-2019, 04:37 AM)mothered Wrote:that is as funny as interesting in now days, because i've never experienced that, im just used to online downloads & cd/dvd-rom disk to install apps, but i've never used or even touched a floppy disk. and i don't even know about "the ARPANET", the oldest thing i know is Netscape, but i don't really know about the history of the internet, so yeah. A lot has certainly changed over a 30 year period. I recall running "2 MB" (yes "MB") of Ram and a 500 MB HDD, but It performed well for the technology and expectations at the time. I've converted It to a bootable ISO file that's "8 MB" In capacity. Some however, are In a .IMG (floppy disk) format. If you haven't used the OS, Install It In a VM. It'll be a good experience for you. |
