Well they didn’t even ask for sig, just threw it on the step and left. I went through live chat. Unfortunately they are opening an investigation and told me to check back in 3 business days. Am I screwed?
An Investigation Is part of company protocol to move forward with your claim.
They will cross-check with the carrier to determine whether you did In fact receive the Item.
Wait for their response.

The delivery driver marked the package as "Signed by reception" and that he left in in the lobby.
I live at a house, there is no reception or lobby. He left it on my step with no signature.

Let them work out the investigation. They have no proof what so ever, that they delivered the TV.
Stick to your plan, and you will get refunded.

It wasn't signed & accepted by you though, hence you didn't "personally" receive It.
