Company Letterhead - karoloydi - 08-21-2018 A company I'm SEing requested from me to provide a letter from my "company" which features official company letterhead. Part of the legal requirement for a letterhead is to have address and company number. Which address / company number should I put? If I do a made up logo and put the reship address, there is no company registered there and they can check on the government website of registered companies. If I put a different address of a real registered company they might call them or insist of delivering to the official company address, its still a problem. Also they need it to be stamped. What stamp might that be? Do all companies have company stamp? I am really close. I don't want to get stuck on a stupid technicality RE: Company Letterhead - mothered - 08-21-2018 What's the company you're trying to SE, and on what grounds are they requesting the letter? I told them I have sensitive information and I can't send the hard drive, so they asked pictures as proof of destruction and letter signed by the company. In other words, they've requested that you take the HDD to an authorized IT company, whereby they'll securely wipe the drive and provide you with a certificate of data destruction. The latter Is what they're requesting you to provide. Would this be correct? Nope, Just a letter signed by me that I am unable to send the drive to them. And from now on this letter will be an agreement that instead of sending them the defective drive I will destroy it myself. It sounds like a licence to print your own money. lol RE: Company Letterhead - chesterbeatdeath - 08-21-2018 Just a little more SEing and you're ready to go! Got a friendly neighbor nearby? Are they able to be bribed? $20-$40 to them for accepting a few pieces of mail on your behalf. Just use their address as the letterhead information. I've always found that bribing people who have NO WANT to know what's going on, but are just willing to take money and give you an envelope that arrives in the mail, is 100% the best way to get a fake address. Bribing people should be the bread and butter of anyone into serious fuckery. If they tell me to ship there, I'll tell them I work from home and the registered address is too far away. I'll reship twice, just in case. Reship twice, bribe twice... Do whatever you got to do, man. Just please... Let me get some rest... Sorry, Fear and Loathing twice in 3 days. I could quote the entire book, let alone the movie, for days without stopping. But yeah, bribery combined with a happily ignorant bribee who can give no one any information on what mail ever came to their house, "I don't recall a letter like that ever coming to this address officer. Can you prove it was delivered here?" is the way to get things that need doing in person anonymized. You're paying the bribe for the use of the mailbox and the telling of anyone who asks that they have no idea wtf anyone is on about. If they take your bribe and fuck you over... Well... We're a bunch of freaking hackers and crackers, man. Point the internet at them. RE: Company Letterhead - skrtja - 08-21-2018 Lol they asked me for the same thing and I haven't responded because they want an acknowledgement on their company letterhead. I have no idea what that meant so I haven't responded. RE: Company Letterhead - karoloydi - 08-29-2018 Good news! The rma went through. I'll be receiving the ssd soon. I'll make a tutorial when I have the time. |
