DNA DPD - SpIKeR - 06-08-2023 How can I do DNA a company when they use DPD as their courier and DPD uses OTP on delivery ? RE: DNA DPD - Wreck_C - 06-08-2023 well obviously you can't DNA if you have to give them a code. that why there are other methods. I was just wondering if there are ways around it. RE: DNA DPD - Akoz - 06-08-2023 DPD is very difficult to DNA unless the drivers make silly mistakes like leaving the parcel safe without a safe place, etc. If delivered to your name and a photo taken if the items suddenly go missing depending on the price expect the driver to return to your residence to prove his case of delivery as any lost parcels do come out of the driver's pay here in the UK for DPD. (Spoken from a current DPD delivery driver btw) So DNA is never a good way to go for DPD possibly look at alternatives if the item is feasible for other methods. I have been trying to have that information verified for a while now - if the driver has to cover the cost of lost parcels out of pocket. Thank you for clarifying RE: DNA DPD - juano76x - 06-09-2023 (06-08-2023, 10:04 PM)Akoz Wrote: DPD is very difficult to DNA unless the drivers make silly mistakes like leaving the parcel safe without a safe place, etc. If delivered to your name and a photo taken if the items suddenly go missing depending on the price expect the driver to return to your residence to prove his case of delivery as any lost parcels do come out of the driver's pay here in the UK for DPD. Do you mean that the price of the item is taken out of the driver's pocket or only the delivery pay rate for the day or delivery in itself? All "self-employed" drivers in the UK have to get courier insurance that they pay for. As "self-employed" workers they are legally responsible for the packages and thus liable for lost delivery. They should be covered for the loss through their insurance, but they are still paying the monthly insurance fees themselves. Evri, DPD, and Yodel are exclusively "self-employed" drivers and Royal Mail and DHL are a mixture. I say "self-employed" because they aren't actually employing themselves. They have to follow orders, wear company uniform, can't choose their "clients", and don't financially interact with "clients" either. It's a big scam to avoid paying workers properly RE: DNA DPD - Akoz - 06-10-2023 (06-09-2023, 10:55 AM)juano76x Wrote:(06-08-2023, 10:04 PM)Akoz Wrote: DPD is very difficult to DNA unless the drivers make silly mistakes like leaving the parcel safe without a safe place, etc. If delivered to your name and a photo taken if the items suddenly go missing depending on the price expect the driver to return to your residence to prove his case of delivery as any lost parcels do come out of the driver's pay here in the UK for DPD. Depending on the company you target liability the cost can depend some companies carry 0 liability and drivers would be asked to pay the full amount some companies may offer 50% liability so the driver would have to pay only 50% of the value of the item. Ahh!! Makes sense. Do you know what the rate of liability is for DPD drivers? I mean the company the goods have come from not the delivery company. So rates are different from say Nike, Amazon, Notino etc etc and no sadly I do not know any of the rates. |
