DNA requires a telephone interview - 2ndround - 09-05-2022 A company is requiring a recorded telephone interview for a DNA to start the investigation into the last parcel. They are also mentioning "documents" and that law enforcement will be involved in the investigation. Sounds like a lot of scaretactics to get people to back off. Never heard of a recorded telephone interview being required. See this to be completely unreasonable and excessive to even start an investigation into a missing parcel. Would you do the call or tell them how ridiculous their process is and try to get to do the investigation without it. Same goes for zalando and other affavadits. They are internal documents which are not required by law but what companies ask for. What is their right to request such documents and refuse claims if you refuse to sign such documents? RE: DNA requires a telephone interview - Doomza - 09-05-2022 I'd imagine it's a scare tactic, anyone can claim DNA over a live chat but if it's a lie people might think twice with a recorded call and signing documents. Even if they aren't legally binding. RE: DNA requires a telephone interview - mothered - 09-06-2022 Quote:A company is requiring a recorded telephone interview for a DNAWho Is It? This company took it several steps further saying that law enforcement would be involved, absolute bs. The documents they expect are actually copy of id and proof of residence at the receivers address. Totally insane to ask for data sensitive to be sent over email to a company. They have said they need them to open an investigation as it will involve law enforcement. They have been asked to provide evidence it is stated that this is a legal requirement to open claim. Or even where it is stated in their terms and conditions. No answer to either of course because it is just an additional hurdle they have added to their internal processes to put people off. They used the ole gps tracking to state as prove that it has been delivered, even though it wasn't sent with courier Pretty sure postal services do not have that option. Very strange request from a merchant. Dealt with claims on the other side where the value was in thousands and we never required any such things. Perhaps there is a difference between b2c and b2b businesses. It's pretty simple - If they have nothing to hide, they have everything to show. An investigation with the carrier, before they said that it may involve law enforcement but they said that it will. I don't want to go too much into the details here but in this scenario involving law enforcement makes even less sense than it would usually. So far I think the law enforcement is a lie, it is a civil case (initially) unless there is proof that someone has stolen it. GPS tracking was suspicious of due to the carrier but you have explained how it could be possible. They have now asked for a PR report...they have given up on the interview and sending documents when the security and privacy flaws were pointed out to them enough times. They have also stated that it will take several weeks for the investigation, so they do everything to put off the claimant and to try and get them to give up the ghost. I don't see how a simple Investigation will take a number of weeks to finalize. They try to scare or put off people and extend the process to get people to back out. Sticking to the story and stating the security flaws in what they requested was eventually accepted. In the end, an affidavit had to be signed then a refund was processed. RE: DNA requires a telephone interview - M4357R0 - 11-07-2022 this is why refunding sucks and you should find another gig RE: DNA requires a telephone interview - 2ndround - 11-07-2022 (11-07-2022, 09:41 PM)M4357R0 Wrote: this is why refunding sucks and you should find another gig Sending a few emails and signing some document for high valued good sucks? That is more or less the worst case scenario. What do you have that is better? I see that your profile picture is a debit card brand... |
