This method has been around for a while and I do not know if it has been patched but I will write up a guide nonetheless.
Please let me know if it is patched and outdated so I can delete this thread.
Tips
- Certain items are flagged and will cause manual review, if your order is pending for more than 4 days you most likely ordered a flagged (highly fraud) item. Examples include: Cuisinart, KitchenAid, Paula Deen
- You can get away most of the time with simply initiating a return and picking certain options will lead you to getting a refund without returning the item
Step 1: Start a return for the item, press "Make a return (Full refund)"

It's been proven to work a lot more often than not.
I don't believe It's been patched, so take advantage of It while you can.

Is wayfair patched? I did not have the option anymore to get a full refund.

It may be an Indication It's patched, or their claims management has tightened.
