So i've recently been told the reason i never receive under 200 ping is because my ISP has over sold in my area and they cannot handle it. Don't you think they should atleast do some theory and realise "oh shit we can handle this many people" rather than over selling and be like "yeah we know there is a problem". Do you think they should atleast give some kind of discount or some kind of alternative solution considering this will be over 2 months like this.

Your ISP needs to quit being little bitches and set their shit to overdrive. In all seriousness though, do you experience Internet outages? 200 ping is... just bad.

If they've informed everyone then maybe a lot of those users may leave and then your internet may start to improve? Or you could move providers yourseld asap. I've never heard of this happening, but that's just poor for a company

A Discount? That's the least they can do. 200 Ping is useless when you are gaming in Multiplayer games.

Does your family notice how crappy the internet is? Just start persuading them by talking about better ISPs, say some may have deals on?

File a complaint with the BBB. You're not getting what you're paying for and that's deceptive marketing as they aren't willing to provide said service by upgrading lines and diving them.
What provider do you use and what package do you have.

I'd just ask for a refund or price off, else I'll get my internet elsewhere

Oh shit, I forgot to give a suggestion. Here's mine:
I have Time Warner Cable, it's shitty sometimes. Call your company, and talk to a representative. Tell them that your internet has been slow, and is not what you are paying for. Throw in shit like "I can lose my at home job if my internet behaves this slow" or "It's been interrupting my school work". Keep pushing them to give you credit/or a discount for compesation. Threaten them with leaving their isp and adding shit like "I will make sure to let my friends and family know not to sign up with you guys, because your service is unreliable". Be persistent and annoying lol.
