broken bottle notino

im in the process of SE'ing notino. Ive come to the point where they accepted a refund but now i have to send the broken bottle. I got the broken bortle in hand but id like to keep it for other SE.

Is there anything i can do to avoid sending it back?
Is it possible i could just send a couple of shards from the bottle instead of the whole thing?

What did you say in your story to them?
try say that it went all over your kitchen floor and you had to dispose of it because you have pets or a kid around, or maybe explain that theres not much left and you'd be shipping practically nothing & see what they reply to it

if all else fails just buy an empty bottle from ebay, crack it and return it

Just make sure you have plenty of photos of it and hope the next place you try only asks for photos and doesn't ask for you to send it back.

not yet, i split/smashed the bottle in 2. Will send them 1 side and keep the other side of the bottle for another SE.
