So yeah I haven't done social engineering in a very long time, at the moment I have a method going (not really social engineering more monetising) to get the occasional xbox live gold 1 month code which I transfer to Game pass ultimate.

This is fine and all but I sorta wanna step it up and get a 1 year code and try to se MS into applying the credit to the account or to replacing the code.
I remember before with amazon a method people did was to send the rep the barcode of the card and say the code was unreadable, Could that work here maybe?

I have been outta the game a long time but fuck it im tired of being broke all the time, a lot has changed by the looks of it so any pearls of wisdom would be great

Rather than complicating matters and as an alternative approach, you can SE an Item from any company for a refund and then sell the SEd Item.

Then with the cash you receive from the sale, purchase the one year code from MS.
Depending on the Item value, you may also have money left over.

I haven't seen many anecdotal reports regarding any Game Pass gift code SE.
However, I think you should note that there are a lot of companies who are specifically dedicated to selling games and gift codes; such as CDkeys; who have a terrible reputation for messing up orders. I'd like to think that you could use the vast amount of innocent customers having issues as a "camouflage".
