Hi guys,
I have a question regarding a phone I bought on the flea market last weekend.
The Phone is a Xiaomi 10 5G (codename: umi) which I got for 100€ with some signs of wear.
The seller told me the phone just needed to be charged and that I wouldn't have to worry.
Turns out that the phone was cloud locked and can't be unlocked unless the original owner (who I don't know) unlocks it.
I couldn't contact the seller anymore and it was already to late to go back to the flea market.
I tried everything I know as far as software goes. I didn't want to open the phone.
Does anyone know a way to resolve the cloud lock easily?
And yes, I know that the Phone might have been lost or stolen...

I went to 3 different phone shops but 2 told me they can't do it and one said that he has to open it up and see if he can do anything. But he couldn't promise me anything. I didn't want to risk it

To the best of my knowledge, I don't believe there's a software that Is capable of unlocking the device. In terms of the dealer stating he couldn't promise anything, does he guarantee his service against damage In the event of failure?

I didn't ask him that to be honest with you because he seemed really sketchy to me. I have worked with and talked to many people before (worked as a salesperson for ~7 Years) and I got a bad gut feeling about him 😢

Yes, there are plenty of phone dealers. I will try my best and ask them if they can do it.

I understand your position.

I'm not aware of any tool that unlocks It, but hopefully others will come to the rescue.

You might need to contact Xiaomi support, as I'm not even sure the "Mi Flash Tool" will allow you to bypass the lock.

Quick question. Is it Xiaomi Lock, Google Lock, or a Carrier Lock? Depending on this we might be able to do something with it.
