Would you sell your soul? 06-23-2016, 12:02 AM
#1
Theoretically, if you sell your soul you're rewarded with money, women, drugs, or whatever you want. Once you're rich you get the power and whatever you want. The trade off, I guess, is that you will rest in eternal hell in the afterlife. But, if you choose to keep your soul you will live in paradise when you die - for eternity.
Me, no. I wouldn't sell my soul because I don't think my soul is worth selling.
Discuss.

The thing is not everybody believes in an Afterlife.
A life is priceless, never go that low for money just because it has a certain value in our society.
Also money doesn't necessarily equal power, especially when it's about lives.

Power means having absolute control over someone/something (living) in my book. You can't have control over something that isn't alive, it's just an illusion.
If the person does it for money, it's not really control.

I see.
Well, I'd likely choose to keep my soul instead of living another xx years then spending eternity in hell.

Of course I wouldn't. You see, I'm happy where I am. And it's honestly better to achieve that soul intact, with hard work and labour.

Absolutely not. If there's an afterlife, I'd like to live it. I'd like to think I'd be with my other half in the after life, so why would I want to spend it in hell?
