I've had legitimate issues with mobile apps in the past and Google was very quick to give a refund. I am not sure if the same policies apply to non-app payments.

That's true Google has always instantly issued me a refund for apps and services bought from playstore, it'll be the first time I'm trying a physical item, I hope it works

Maybe I could do the same?

Amazon only asked for signature, I was not in the building so another family member signed with a difetent last name
Most of the time they don't even ask for a sign around here

That's because It was a suspicious login (possibly deemed a security concern), as opposed to an account being closed for noncompliance with Amazon's terms.
