I recently read somewhere (can't remember the source) that Microshit are planning to start releasing updates to their OS periodically as apposed to jumping straight from 8 to 9 or whatever they're going to call it. Windows 8.1 will boast a start bar that doesn't say start but instead will have the irritating logo "improved" search function and if they get around to it maybe some bug fixes that they have known about since alpha (this will likely break everything and cause your computer to implode).

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate them on doing something that the rest of the computing world has been doing for decades. Innovation the surely worth the huge price tag

M[ainly]S[hoddy] and there mostly shitty operating system have long since been stuck on stupid after some Corporate Assclown's ideal of a "better operating system than Window's 7" took a healthy crap on what they insist is intelligent.
That being stated, I've been in the Linux camp for years and intend on remaining solely there without any foreseeable change.

Could not have said it better myself, Microsoft stated that the changes are an attempt to tempt people into switching to 8. I have an idea Mr Gates, make something that works! I have no intention of switching from Linux either stable secure powerful heavily customisable and free, what more could you want

@chmod Agreed on your last words mate. They worry to much of the UI than t new innovative features for example that whole Metro look, People already are criticizing about it
