You can hack on pretty much any device you can find. You don't need top notch specs. So my answer will be "yes".

The distro itself is not that important as Linux is extremely customizable meaning you could take any distribution and do pretty much whatever you like with it. Each one has small differences such as package managers and the software and window managers they ship with but deep down there isn't much difference. The goal is to find something you like and then mold that into whatever you need it to do.

So Basically I have two computers , a dekstop and a laptop ,
So what do you thing should be the best combo of two OSes? eg Windows on PC or Linux on laptop?
Since you cleared out my distro doubt , I'm left with three options - Windows , Mac(leave hackintosh to me :3) and Linux.
Linux I think is obviously up there , the question is , which between Mac & Windows..?
Like both are very less customizable but Mac atleast got a terminal?
So basically I wanted to ask that what should I use for hacking? and if there could be some important hack tools / utilities that are present on Mac but not on Windows or Vice Versa?
-Thanks

Quote:I can answer your question with in a very simple way. Do you game? If you want to game, I would pick Windows. Otherwise I would simply go for Linux on both machines.

No I quit up gaming... I think its useless and will end up nowhere.. what I do use still , however , is Unity 3d which has support for Mac as well as Linux..
