Where to start with hacking!

Oh trust me, every security expert can code in at least one language. How else would they get around creating an exploit for the vulnerabilitiy? How would you get around finding vulnerabilities in web apps if you don't know the language they are made in?

Hi, I'm really still new to the hacking world and enjoy trying to get into emails and facebooks, I don't mess with any of their info just like testing myself, you have any tips that could bring my game to the next level?

STOP STOP IT! Forget about "hacking" Facebook accounts and emails. I made this thread to prevent questions such as this. Hacking is NOT about gaining access to Facebook and email accounts. It's about so much more...

I gave you a list of the biggest fields of hacking and you choose none of them..

Drop this silly idea and start from scratch. Read my thread again and if you still have any questions, you are free to ask me.

Well I'm currently learning Python as my first language and I plan to major in cyber security. To be honest I want to become an ethical hacker. I'ts very overwhelming to all the information I must have. Any tips?

Pick something you find interesting and work on it. Take it one step at a time and don't rush. Get really into the specific topic you want to work with (web apps, networks etc.).

This post is quite informative about the types of hackers. I've read about the so-called white hackers who alert companies about security issues that need patching. There was one article about the nasty wi-fi hackers who can takeover cars, appliances, baby monitors, etc using wi-fi technology.

Great income and popularity? I can insure you that you won't get either of that. You can face jail time and a lot of enemies!
