No pls, not virus total. Even for things that aren't malicious. It's just a general rule of thumb to stay away from VirusTotal, they distribute, and I assume you don't want some malware researcher digging through your program on a VM. If you don't believe me, upload a RAT, wait a hour or so, and see all the connections that come up.
