What was the original interest that attracted you to this forum and other alike?

Personally I am interested in all the Social Engineering related things.

I have found this forum more interested in helping users to learn new things and make them sharing information than other forums.

General discussion forum I frequented a long time ago got defaced by a high profile member from here, so I signed up. Didn't stick around long, but about 6 months later the forum got bought out by SL so naturally I moved along with it. Found here to be one of the more intelligent forums I stumbled upon so I stuck around. Haven't really bothered with any other forum since, as this site pretty broadly covers anything I have any interest in and the people that tend to hang around here are pretty great. Originally had no interest in social engineering but the activity is alive and well around here and there were some great teachers so I picked things up as I went.

You're right

might not be the biggest but has enough user base and positive community which is rare.

Thanks for sharing.

Can relate with you, this isn't my main forum but slowly checking it more and more. The community is healthy.

I will say I am pleasantly surprised, as a newbie to this forum, how supportive everyone has been so far. I, too, have been trying to school myself in networking security and I find forums like this super helpful.
