Hello there, I've seen in may of the forums and most of the post in this forum, people discussing about backtrack 5..
So basically what is BACKTRACK5? is it a OS by linux or what? And in what matter does it help?
And I've no idea about any of the programming language; will BT5 help me any matter in performing hacking attacks? I mean do we have to learn any lang. to use BT5 for hacking?

BackTrack is a distribution designed by Jason Dennis based on the Ubuntu Linux distribution aimed at digital forensics and penetration testing use. It was named after backtracking, a search algorithm.

No programming languages necessarily needed though you might need to work on your Shell programming so as to achieve the best of BT.

Just so you know BT ain't gonna make you the next blackhat hacker hence it might have the toolsfor hacking but you need to know what you are doing.
