What details must be changed when hitting the same store again? #1
Hi there,

I want to do the broken bottle method with a retailer I have previously purchased from. Last time I did it with this retailer, they put up a big fight, so I did a chargeback and eventually won.

My question is which details are safe to reuse without raising suspicion?

When I last used this retailer, I used a different address to where I live, but I’d like to send it to my home address now. However, I do not have a card under a different name. I will also use a different email and phone number, but I don’t think I can use the same card I used last time, can I?

Can't you go through a payment provider like PayPal? If not, just set up a revolut account and load some money into it. It's quick to setup and useful for other things.

I can but I am very careful with this, I avoid having too many refunds coming into my account. Revolut also requires an address, name etc.
I know some places can see billing addresses too, which I am skeptical about.

I almost want a completely separate identity for this shit.

Can't the store match the same Paypal email that was used for both orders?

That’s another good point - I believe you must change:
Name
Address
Billing address
Email
Phone number

The billing address is probably the hardest because I believe when you order something to an address different to the provided billing address, this is their first red flag for a fraudulent order. Perhaps not on an aged account where possible with a retailer

They would be able to but I was assuming he just used a card for the first transaction with no PayPal

Why do you avoid too many refunds? I think out of the last 20 big purchases in my PayPal account, 18 of them will have been refunded. A couple legit refunds and the rest via other means. It's never been a problem for anyone I know.
