What action is justified? #1
When I was young I stopped to think, "What action is really justified?" and years later I haven't found the answer to this specific question, or rather I have found one answer to it. This question is as subjective as its nature. We walk around each day, saying that this is good and this is bad, that this is the right thing to do and that the other is wrong. Though by nature, there isn't a "right" or "wrong" as these are two concepts simply made by mankind as a way to explain certain behavior. We justify certain actions by saying things such as; "Its the right thing to do." Though you could also just as easily justify your actions by saying something alike; "I was bored."

So the question here is, how can we say that we can justify something on a universal scale when we are doing so out of subjective opinions? What is right, and what is wrong?

I've seen this question several times before. I think there are morales that everyone has a basic understanding of. Everyone is born (excluding psychopaths) with the ability to know murder, rape, stealing, and etc is wrong. If they chose to do it that's on them. Does it make the decision wrong? Not necessarily, just makes it against life's basic morales.

Morals is another idea created by humans, there is no such thing as "natural morals". As morals is either;
  • A lesson learned through an experience or story.
  • Standard of behavior, principles of right and wrong.
As you can see, morals are defined by "right" and "wrong". Thus its a thing invented by humans. Saying that "morals" is proof of "right" and "wrong" isn't much better than saying that; "Right is right because its right and wrong is wrong because its wrong."

To ask if an action is first justified you'd already hit a brick wall. Nothing is ever justified as good bad right wrong correct or incorrect etc, all these terms are subjective, so from an objective view, nothing is ever justified, and nothing is ever not justified

And you are aware that I am asking for a subjective opinion? So we have something to discuss in this section.

How can anything be justified. We all are human beings aren't we? Justification is just something used to get away with something on the majority level. It's a human concept. Justification is not natural. Anyone who says so is closed minded completely. I think nothing is justified it's the choice of the person whether from their morals that their human culture made or something that they personally believe in.

Case settled. Smile

The question itself is subjective, so for me, no action is justified, and always justified, as justification is a subjective term
