What Graphics/Design software do you prefer?

so which software do you prefer for graphics or design?
Gimp
adobe fireworks
adobe photoshop or any other?

I only use Gimp. I dont like pirating software, I dont trust pirated software, and I use Linux Wink

Gimp is good although my image manipulation is not, it's free, open source, cross platform and provides almost all the features of paid software such as photoshop

@chmod I agree to you. I use GIMP myself. Actually I use a lot of graphics software... Biggrin

But the only thing I miss in GIMP is blending options. Well everything can be done in different ways but Blending options makes it easier.
also same with "Krita" almost the same as photoshop. Just misses few things Biggrin

Photoshop is by far the best graphics editing program.
It has a good set of tools and is constantly being updated.
There is also alot of resources out there for Photoshop (extensions).

Everybody has its own personal favourite graphic editing software but for all the (professional) designers I know use Photoshop.
The workflow and performance is by far better then any free/paid software editing software out there Smile

also lots of web designers use Adobe Fireworks. I am doing IT graphics course myself and the teachers teach us how to use Adobe fireworks for web designing.
I prefer Adobe Photoshop more than Adobe Fireworks but fireworks is not that bad as well. Talking about price. Fireworks is cheaper. But most of the people use pirated software but still. Biggrin

Only at some classes I saw people use Fireworks, in the end they all switched over anyway Tongue
