Weird SE situation What should I do? 12-17-2019, 11:05 PM

So I sent a company a cheap item from eBay instead of sending an item in for repair. Then I waited 2 weeks cause I knew they would throw it away by then. The item says delivered but they are asking me to contact the post office for shipping confirmation because they cannot locate the item. Never had a problem like this usually they would send a replacement out after seeing the tracking what can I do here? Their argument is that it says it's been delivered to the reception room and they do not have a reception but the zip code is correct and they want a confirmation of what address it was delivered to because all they can see is what city and zip code it arrived at.

This sounds like good news. Did the company give you a prepaid label? Contact the post office, get a case started, and get that money via the company once it's completed.

If you have enough proof that you sent the item. You have valid reason to assume the post office is liable. Did you purchase insurance?
