sorry i hate to bring up an old thread, but Mothered, can you explain to me the receipt SE for Target/Walmart? i am not sure I understand.

What is the receipt SE method? I guess I don't fully understand how you go about getting the item or the refund? I cannot just walk into Wal-Mart with a receipt and no item and ask for a refund. So I am curious what is this method?
I understand walking in with a fake receipt, taking an item off the shelf, and walking out. But that is basically shoplifting with some finesse. I'd rather do something more sophisticated and SE like
