Just got off a call with the rep and they kept saying I require a police report due to progress with this claim despite me being persistent with reasons why I can't get one and how a police report is not relevant. Is there anything else I can do now? It would not be possible for me to get a police report either as of right now or in the near future.

Request an escalation on the grounds that they're disregarding the said reasons for not being able to file a PR.

Hi, so today I finally received an update regarding this case. I was told by Walmart Support that the escalation ticket has been closed and to either file a police report for a refund or do a chargeback with my financial institution. Would it be safe to do a chargeback with PayPal, seeing that I have also saved the chat logs?

Not sure. Support rep just told me the escalation ticket was closed nothing else.

I had similar problems happen to me last month with Walmart for a laptop EB. They gave me the runaround and wasted my time with their useless braindead reps so I tried going to the automated support chat system I chose that there was a problem with my order> damaged item> missing item and for some reason it just went ahead and gave me the option for instant refund or replacement and it worked to my surprise not sure if the same will happen in your case but it’s worth a try
