Do you prefer working from home or in an office?

I assume most people on this board would be into home working due to the nature of some of the careers people have, but it's still a very office-based world for a lot of businesses.

Which do you prefer?

I like Hybrid working. You can get a couple days where you can do some face to face stuff when you need it, but ultimately do most work from home in your own, peaceful environment (unless you have young children at home of course).

Understandable. Sometimes the vibe of the office, or the lack of home distraction helps.

For me, my colleagues come to me for help for all kinds of things (IT, general questions, system assistance), so I don't get a break from interruptions from one day to the next. It's very difficult to get anything done. I don't mind helping people with various things, but when 3 people are queueing to ask questions and there's a big deadline looming, it's too much.

Some people have young children/family that can be extremely distracting, or may not have enough room for a proper home office. There's actually a massive number of reasons to prefer working in an office. Others find the self-discipline side of it very difficult when they're not 10 feet from their chain of command.

You are absolutely right it does not fit everyone. You see whenever it was 2020 and my office announced that we all will be working from home I think that was the best working experience for me and probably one of the reasons why I cannot wait till I have my own business to do it all over again but of course that got more challenges than it seems
